Canon Powershot A95 broken

Hi all,

Picked up the wife's Powershot A95, switched it on and tried to take a picture with liveview but no image would display.

I can see the menu options as well as photos taken the day before however, no liveview and any photos taken now just show a black screen.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I've tried different programmed settings etc but think it's a hardware issue.

I don't have any links but my A series powershot had a free sensor replacement courtesy of Canon when it was well outside its warranty period.

There was a problem with a large number of sensors that went into lots of different cameras. A friend of mine had a sensor replaced in his Fuji Digicam. Same story.

You wll have to search a bit for the list of affected cameras but I was very pleased to get mine repaired for the cost of finding a box and sending it to Colchester Cameras.
