Canon R5 and R6 Usable AF points

The number of usable and type of AF points on my I DX and 7Dii mainly depends on the lens aperture. From what I gather from the manuals, this restriction does not apply to the R6 or the R5.

Is this correct?

I think there is some fall off right at the edges of the frame with very small apertures, but realistically you can consider the entire sensor area as usable AF points. It’s a very different prospect to phase detect AF in DSLR’s.
