Is there a direct dial number for the canon repair centre in Elstree?

I tried the number on the canon website and got an asian call centre.

I want to send my kit off for repair but want an idea of cost before I choose Fixation or them.

EF100-400 needs to have the locking ring replaced,

The EF 24-105 died recently: Error 01 and the AF hunts the moment the Camera is switched on.

And I may as well get the 7d cleaned/calibrated.

Thats gonna cost £580 plus VAT from Fixation....:eek:

Well, that's the only one I have, sorry...but it's got me through in the past. Hmmm, not sure how to help further, sorry.

I know Ivan (IGADIZ) on the forum lives quite close by, try pm ing him and see if he has another number!

Managed to get hold of them in the end. Got a quote half the price of fixation and Johnstones. Half the turn round time too. Sent it off last Thursday and expected it all back next Friday. It actually arrived yesterday and the repairs and calibration appear to be spot on. The few test shots I've done appear to be a vast improvement and the lenses look like new! :D

Don't know how accurate it is, but worth a try. Don't know about the freephone number - might have nothing to do with it!!!
