Appologies if this has been covered recently I did try a search or two and couldn't find anything that answered my question!
Bit of background, when ever the other half an I go away we always take two cameras my SLR and her ageing ixus compact, the compact has been seeing less and less use as the limitations of it's low light ability and lack of wide angle lens have become more frustrating. On our most recent trip the compact hardly came out of the pocket so we've decided it's time to replace it.
The Canon S100 seems to cover all our needs it's small enough to slip in a pocket has the wide angle lens we seek and also performs well in low light. The only thing I've not really found anything on is it's performance on full auto and this is critical as that is how it will be used alot of the time and I'm keen to avoid disapointment on what is a pretty expensive purchase for a compact.
So any owners that could give me some feedback on the automatic performance would be much appreciated, general comments on the camera also welcome and if anyone can recomend a truly pocketable alternative feel free.
