Anyone have one? Seems to get good reviews, but is almost the price of a DSLR.What do you make of it?Easy to use? Any pics?

I've got one. Generally really pleased with it - lovely sharp images and good colours. THe main reason I use my DSLR more is the inevitable downside of the very small sensor on the S95 - particularly in terms of getting any creative DOF going. I suppose the tiny sensor is bound to make it more prone to noise, but actually I think it handles it brilliantly considering.
 
I've got one too. I bought it for the times I didn't want to carry the DSLR. I'm really pleased with it. I found it very easy to use, although at times I kept pressing the dial on the back when I wanted to turn it. The noise is far better than any other compact I've owned. I think the sensor is slightly larger than a standard compact and by keeping the sensor down to 10mp the noise is very well controlled. When the light is good it is impossible to tell the difference between this and my 40D. It has plenty of features and it slides in pocket with ease. Battery life could be better, but I bought a second one to carry with me.
 
Thanks.Funnily enough I am contempating a used 40D! I've a Fuji finepix A350 at present but it seems to be on the blink.I assume the S95 is superior to the A350.
 
I use the Canon S90, which is very similar, I think it is great for when I don't want to be carrying a bag with me, as it is easily pocketable. I like that the controls are very similar to an SLR, with full manual control and the ability to output raw images.

I was glad to have it after walking to that location and realising I didn't have a CF card in my DSLR. Doh.

One here too - absolutely stunned with the quality of the images.......even Jpeg.
As already mentioned plenty of settings including Raw:thumbs:

Bought it to carry in a pocket as the DSLR's too big when at work....the wife loves the simplicity of it as well (And she's worse than me for not reading instructions:lol:)

Bought one for the same reasons as above, small compact, great when you don't want to carry a bigger body around, also good for digiscoping fits into my 30x swaro eyepiece without an attachment.
 
It is a very good camera, as others have said, good IQ, decent controls and pocket size. The video is decent quality too. BUT, if you are coming from a dslr you may be disappointed if thinking of going for one or the other. Shutter lag is very slow when compared to my D300 and dof is obviously nothing like my f/2.8 lenses. Of course you would not expect that to be any different, I have mine to carry round if I really cant (or dont want to) take my D300 but will rarely take it out unless I really need that pocket size camera.
