Canon scanner spares

I have a Canon scanner that's been out back gathering dust for ages and now I've come to rig it up I can't find the PSU. Anybody any idea if replacements are available because I can't get anywhere on Canon's own web site.

Find out the input voltage, either from the manual or moulded in to the plastic next to the socket, along with the polarity orientation. Get a generic multi-voltage one with the required range from somewhere like Maplins and set it to the required voltage and polarity.

Yeah I was thnking that might be the only option. The trouble is Canon insist on using the least common pin size!
