Yes
Took it to a specialist today , it had 37 dust spots on it some have been on there for ages it took him ages to get it off... But the bad news is he tells me the sensor cleaner is faulty as it's not cleaning it properly and he recommended me to get canon to replace it..

If it's under warranty I'd go for it, failing that join the rest of us back in the maual sensor cleaning days! I'd guess that Canon won't fix it for a small some of money!

erm..... i'd have serious worries about what this guy may have done to your sensor..... he wasn't a friend of Janice was he??

Pmsl no...

I had a feeling it wasn't working right for awhile , never cleaned any of the dust off when it appeared just made things worse. It was a proper camera specialist dealers and sensor repair shop!

How dare you!!!! :D

I haven't had to touch my sensor now I have a self cleaning one on the 40d.... and I bet it's VERY glad!!! :D

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuch!

Do any of these sensor cleaning gizmos work? I've just recently had to clean my 400D as it was covered in dust

Maybe I should return it under warranty too :)

I have the Visible Dust brushes, and they do work. Having said that I seem not to have a dust problem, only using the brushes twice on my 20D and only one on the 5D.
(Hastily looks for large piece of wood)

This site http://www.cleaningdigitalcameras.com/ has some reasonable information and a host of links that are worth a read for anyone nervous about attempting their first scrubbing session.

I've not seen it referred to before but sorry if it's a repetition.
