I`ve just ordered a canon 1d mk2 second hand and wondered where to get software for downloading images etc from assuming it doesn`t come with it, will i find it on the net?

You have 1 problem, in order to download and install DPP:

Make sure that at least one of the following applications is installed.
- Digital Photo Professional
- EOS Viewer Utility
- File Viewer Utility
- RAW Image Task

If the applications above are not installed on a PC running WindowsVista, make sure that you prepare one of the following CD-ROMs.
- EOSDIGITAL Solution Disk v1 to v17.x
- DIGITAL CAMERA Solution Disk v2

I might have a spare copy of DPP somewhere if you need it, drop a PM with your address if you don't get one with the camera.

Canon only have one software package, might be worth following the link and making sure you have the newest though.
