Canon teleconverters vs ...........?

Just pondering here for a bit.
How do other third party teleconverters stack up against canons own x1.4 and x2 offerings?

Kenko Pro-300 1.4x usually gets good mentions, also the Sigma. No others that I know of.

Kenko 300 Pro 1.4x, youll lose quality with a 2x not so much with a 1.4x.

it also depends what lens(es) its going on.

my sig 120-300 and sig 1.4x work extremely well with each other. the sig 70-200 and 1.4x isnt as good.

personally i wouldnt use any 2x but thats just me.

2x is pushing it. You need a very high quality lens to start with, which you certainly have, and also a very good extender, ie Canon Mk3.

Problem is, I don't think any 2x will actually fit.
