Hi All,

Not sure if this has been covered before, I did try searching but came up with way too many hits.

Does anyone know if it's possible to connect my Canon 600D up to my iPad 3? Either for image viewing or perhaps tethering the device for taking images? I understand that an app would need to involved for the controls.

Ipad camera connection kit, very handy to connect camera or memory card to ipad to read raw files and jpegs.

And you can get a chinese knock off connector for like £5 on ebay, works good for me.

as for controlling the camera from the ipad, i dont think thats possible.

You can use an Eye-Fi card and the Shuttersnitch app to wireless tether your 600D to the Ipad (assuming the 600D uses SD cards?) to sync photos. However, there isn't any currently available app that can control the camera directly although you can connect the camera to a laptop or PC and then control it remotely via the Ipad.

Alternatively, you could use DSLRBot and an IR remote adaptor to remotely trigger the camera but that doesn't control any actual settings on the camera itself, just fires it.

Cheers
Steve
