Canon UK based service centres and costs?

Im looking around on google but not finding anything concrete so thought id ask here.

Im returning to the UK shortly and my EOS 450D is in need of a service. Its caked in dust, some buttons stick a little the popup flash doesn't, the sensor is dirty and im suspicious about the sensor alignment slightly.

It done nearly 3 years of desert so can be expected, still works but looking a little battered.

Does anyone know or have a list of authorised canon service centres in the UK that do the above sort of thing, any idea of how long i'll be without my camera for and importantly, how much it costs?
 
I know Colchester Camera Centre is a Canon repairer, they will normally give an approximate repair estimate over the net if you go to their website.
 
I have used Camera Clinic and received nothing but good service from them. They are quite small independant company who repair all sorts!

Fixation is another well known Canon repairer in London. I have never used them so can't comment on their service.
 
ebay it as needing a service + clean and buy another one. Maybe 7D or anything from 1-series if you spend a lot of time in the desert.

The services can be very much hit and miss from my experiece.

It probably won't be worth here cost of a repair then - it sounds as if you need a lot done. Buy another 450d?

You could do that and buy a used one from say MPB photographic as they are about £250.00 with warranty, that may be cheaper than a service.
