Canon users who own a Tamron 150-600 mk1

I'm looking for some feedback from members using the above setup.
If I'm lucky I might be able to pick up a mk1 lens used for a good price.
I met a chap using one at the weekend and he said he's very happy with the results he gets.
A friend of mine owns the G2 version and he is happy without the results.

As I have only met one person using the mk1 version, I'm hoping a few of you have used one and are you happy with the results @ 600mm ?
I own a Tamron 100-400 and @400, the sweet spot between f/8-f/11 for sharp photos and I'm guessing it's more or less the same for the mk1?

I haven't really used mine in a while (been using Fuji a lot more lately) but it was a decent lens for the price. AF wasn't the fastest but it worked well enough for me.

I managed to hand hold my one at 1/25!!
Great lens, although my one is Fawlty.
I can shoot on single shot but when I switch to continuous all the images look like ICM.
I'm not a Canon shooter anymore but I bought a used 700D to use this lens on
