I recently purchased a hotshoe diffuser to use with my Canon 650d's built-in flash.
When I got it I tested it successfully, but now every time I mount the diffuser the flash won't fire. I know there are contacts in the hotshot to disable the flash - but can this be over-ridden?
The diffuser has a plastic mount, no metal parts.
