Canon wont turn on

Hello folks,

Yesterday i was at a rally and it was raining, rain wasnt to heavy at this time of the morning! But in the middle of ss1 one of the local drivers broke down and i went over to have a chat with him, Then when i went back to taking photos the camera wouldn't turn on??

Before this i did change to the standard kit lens but where i was it was beside a church so i went inside to change the lens?

I took the battery out and put it back in?
I took the memory card out and put it back in?

There is no power what so ever going to anything in the camera? I tried to open the flash but no luck what so ever!!

Please if any one could help id much appreciated it
I need the camera working for the 25th November!!

I wouldn't panic just yet -let it dry out thoroughly for a day or two and it will probably come back to life . Somewhere warm ad dry like an airing cupboard will help speed up the process.
 
Recheck the doors for the battery and card. If they're not closing correctly then the camera won't switch on.

The camera isn't in my house at the minute, But it is in a hotpress the other side of the county :lol: Cheers Dean!!

Both of these was tried yesterday!! Still no luck!

Do you have cps cover? Gives you rapid turnaround on repairs, or the chance of loan kit. Otherwise I'd get it into the repairers really quickly. Sounds like water has got in and possibly fried the main board

i was gonna head down to that because i have a friend who lives a stones throw from the course, above drung chapel. i had a portrait shoot this morning, where i got soaked anyway, but i didn't fancy taking the chance of my kit getting wet/damaged etc at the rally. really hope you get your gear sorted mate.
