Cant believe i found this

There's more reasons for using a tripod than just because your arms are weak/tired and your camera is too heavy (have you thought about getting a lighter compact?).
 
Just what I've been looking for for my home made steadycam:)

Every one I've seen before this was ridiculously expensive.
 
theres always some one making things that will be used once then never again becouse its easier doing it the simple way
 
Perhaps I'm missing the point here. but what's wrong with them? Is it just that you think they're stupid?

they just seem gimicky and probably only used once
i dont think ive ever seen a Pro review one
would maybe buy one if they did :lol:
 
I know people that use tripods for their iPhones as they use they're iPhones as they're only camera. I've seen some really good results from the camera on a 4S so why not have accessories for them if people are using phones for photography as much as dedicated cameras these days?
I wouldn't call them over the top at all. There's a guy over on AV Forums who does all of his work with an iPhone and some of it is amazing so it can be done.

urm the holders are over the top, and yeah theres some great shots from phones
 
I've seen someone on the Quayside using of those with an iPhone. Does look a little strange seeing someone hunched over their phone like that :lol:.
 
Holder is handy for video. Used one, with a mini tripod, which meant I didn't have to stand there holding the phone the whole time.
