What do i do... i cant find my canon software for my 30d and ive got a new laptop :( cant i do everything without it?
 
you can't find your software to install? what do you want to do exactly? if it's transfering the photos off the camera you don't need it no.
 
You should be able to do everything without it, but if need-be, it should be available off the Canon site, look for "Downloads"/"Support" or similar.

i could have gone completely insane.......but do i remember a thread somwhere here that you can only install it, the download provided that at least one of the bits of software has been installed from the original disks ?? :shrug:

but some body had posted a work around
 
cool guys well theres no problem without the software but i still hope i find it...
 
If you download software from the Canon website without having any of the bundled software on your computer don't you haved to give Canon your camera's serial number?

personally i dont touch regedit, usually leave that to my brother
