Yes
I have recently had some canvases produced for where i work but i have a problem.

You can see they from the pic below that they are hung on a breeze block wall, though this is an internal wall, not external.

I hung them up Friday, come Monday the canvas has gone completely slack leaving me with rippled pictures.
My first thought was humidity, but we don't seem to suffer any other signs of damp anywhere else.

The building is open plan so conditions should be consistent throughout, though the canvases are hung in our conference room which is divided off from the main office area by a glass screen.

I'm sure i wont have any issues getting them replaced or re-mounted, but i wanted to see if anyone has had similar problems before i get in touch with the printer.

Cheers.

The only canvas print i've had was framed up with little wedges in the back corners - to tighten the canvas, you tapped the wedge in a little further and the canvas ended tight as a drum.

I didn't make them, i had them done by a local company.

Just spoke to the guy on the phone, he has just confirmed what TheBigYin says, give the wedges a little tap and all should be good, if i have any trouble drop them back in and he will sort it.

That's a relief. :)

I must try that on one of mine when I get home.... BTW the wall looks like it needs a lick of paint!

Don't even go there, that's after it's just had one. It is actually a clean white, just a bad picture off my phone, but my boss is too tight to consider getting it plastered and looking respectable for anything more than a fiver. :shake:

I've never thought about environmental conditions for a canvas before. We have a fairly large one in our kitchen and it looks as good as new after two years of being steamed!!!

follow this procedure at the end of the video and see if you can get some more play on the corner wedges ... the more you tap them into the frame equally on all 4 corners the tighter the canvas will become .. but dont tap them too much as they may pop out of the top of the frame if they are pointed ..
