Natt,

Oxford Image Company are one I can recommend for canvas. Tried and tested if you don't get good reviews from the one you have found.

No but just looked at their site ( see how they do it ) & they don't use any wedges in the corners & don't tape over the staples.

Thanks smooth. Had a look at those and they're double the price, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

Chris, the tape isn't that important but the wedges I think they are...canvas relaxes and ou need to tighten it from time to time by adjusting the wedges, I believe?

I have just ordered a 16 x 12 from DS colour labs. just awaiting delivery. see what they come up with, but if it fails, will think about Oxford Image Company...

I'm apprehensive TBH cause I don't usually order canvases - the only canvas I ever ordered was a cheapie and wasn't very good (ebay job) and a friend of mine wants one of my pics on canvas so I want it to be good, you know?

Just to add that my Canvas (all be it small) from Oxfordimagecompany doesn't have any wedges in the corners. It does seem to just be tensioned and stapled in the corners and then covered in tape.

Just an update on this thread.

Received my 12 x 16 Canvas print from DS colourlab yesterday.

Pleased with the finish. i have nothing else to compare mine to as this is my first one.
I would recommend these guys. Next time would most likly have a larger finish.

Frame is made strongly, mortise and tenon with mitres.
Canvas is good strong. But not to keen on the stapled finish on the back.

My only quirm and its my fault, is i used the wrapped around, which took some of the image around to the edges, some of this was important to the finished picture, but as said, my fault, this is something i did not think about until i viewed it at home.

I ended up ordering from Snapfish about 3.30am this morning, - just hope I've done it right cause I had to put a white border around cause they automatically do a wrap around - just hope it worked. Emailed them too, but have fingers tightly crossed.
