I'll take a guess at Scottish Deer Centre
I think you must be right. Just had a look at their website which mentions one of Scotlands rarest birds as a new attraction.

I've been "Very" fortunate to stumble across these in the wild on a couple of occasions. The first was a lone male with 4 or 5 females several years ago. The second was just last year near loch Garten and stupidly I'd just put the camera in the boot!
One day I will get a photo (I hope). Certainly a stunning bird and a nice capture

CJ, It is indeed the Scottish Deer Centre. Unfortunately his mate died last year so they are looking for a female for him ASAP. Yes 50mm lens, he comes in so close to me now I have to use the nifty fifty to get him all in.
Andrew, Must have been great to see them in the wild, hopefully this year I'll get them in the wild

I never realised they were that rare?! I thought they were fairly commonplace in Scotland.

Superb image, the bird just looks so powerful. Im also hoping to head up for the Lek at some point but still to make plans. Im not sure if i will do the Caperwatch or organise something myself. Anyone done the caperwatch to see how good the oppertunity is for taking pics?
