I'm off camping in the Scottish highlands for a week over summer, and I'm not sure how much access to a power supply is going to be available to recharge my camera batteries.

Given that I've got car chargers for my phones, satnav, iPod etc... I've had a look round for for my camera, but after finding this one, I've gone off the idea somewhat as £90 is quite a lot!
Are there any 3rd party versions available at a slightly more realistic price?

I guess my other option is enough £5.99 7dayshop 3rd party batteries to last the week!

Edit: Erm, freaky. Someone seems to asked about a similar problem here while I was busy typing!

Check out Warehouse Express. Just type in Canon Car Charger.

Dont forget to check what batteries your camera takes :)

All the WE ones are £80 - £100+ :(
Thanks for the link Ed, will check it out tonight, the bay is blocked from work.

A colleague has also come up with a bit of lateral thinking... 240v inverter and run the standard charger off that. Might need to factor in the cost of some jump leads though, just in case.

Well the car/mains charger I linked to on ebay is a tenner including shipping. Didn't look any further, but you may find one even cheaper. I would also get a couple of spare batteries too if I were you.

Take your normal charger with you, and a power 'inverter' that you can get from Halfords for about £25-30. Its basically like a cigarette powered mains socket.

I bought a new charger from LCE as I lost my Nikon one :( and it charger all batteries and also got an adapter for the car. Bonus.
