Car photography

Detail shots are the way to go, especially at crowded shows. Close ups of emblems/badges, carbs, rocker covers etc. make it harder for other people to get in the way!
People forever get in the way when they see you and your camera haha

TBH, these days, I usually use a compact - either a Sony RX 100 vi or an old Fuji X-30. At a large 6' 1", I'm the one in the way but at least I get out of the way for the next person ASAP!

A small M43 camera will do the job, an old ff DSLR will give better IQ but will be bigger and heavier.

It ought to be said that mirrorless is the modern standard, but if you don’t care about that, there’s bargains in older DSLR’s, both APSC and full frame
I think people get caught up in the idea that mirrorless is the way to go. I would say 99% of my photography revolves around coins for which mirrorless
is not a requirement. n fact an old DLSR is the way to go in my mind as there will be no humping about.

No need to be sorry I value peoples opinions . This was something I took using my iPhone while out with the dog. As being a total beginner I’m getting used to the process and wish I had my camera when I saw this.

I think the phone is a great tool for taking snaps of cars you see parked on the street. I wouldn't use my camera to take any shots of a car parked half up on the kerb as they just don't make great pictures (99.9% of the time).

General rule of thumb, you don't need to edit photos that you've snapped as there's not an awful lot you could do to enhance them (given the environment) and it's accepted that you've taken it on the fly and not arranged a shoot with the owner.
