my mates bike carbs, goin onto a 1.6 8v in his mk3 polo. i figured this was the right thread because its close up?! hope u like it anyway
 
For some reason I read that as "crabs" :shrug:; sorry for the mix-up.

I like this shot, looks like something from an Alien movie ... something spooky about it :cautious:
 
lol... I’m the opposite, as someone who specialises in motorcycle fuelling. I saw the word 'carb' stand out like I flashing beacon. :bonk:

I like the idea of using DoF for this shot, but for me the composition doesn’t quite work as well as it could have. ….you’ve put the point of focus to close to the side of the frame. My eye looks down the bank of carburettors I’m forced against the right edge of the image which isn’t very comfortable.

yeah im in two minds about this pic really, its almost uneasy, i like the dof. i dont think the framings very good on the right hand side tho.
carbs are cool to look at though they make good subjects i think :p
 
Hi Tom,

You have a ‘X’ in edit box so I wont repost but try flipping the image on horizontally, it seems to work better that way for me.

I'd agree with the above - the DOF seems to make the whole left hand side a bit of a void.
