Yes
hi all ive just ordered a carry speed fs slim sling with f1 plate, the estimated loading for this setup is estimated at 3kg,now the question is would this be ok with my d90 which weighs 700g and my sigma 150-500mm which weighs 2kg ,i know its less than the 3kg but whats your thoughts guys thanks

anyone using one of these with a largish lens comments appreciated guys

Thanks but that uses the same plate and connector I think and I shouldi imagine that would be the weak link

Well finally got In touch with carry speed in Texas and after a few e-mails I was told that it was 15lb limit and not 3kg as I was told so. I should be ok,although I'm looking into buying another strap to fasten to my camera as well as a safety strap just thought I would let everone know In
case they were I'm the same situation

I think in most straps, tripods etc, the advised weight is well within its actual carrying weight. They just err on the side of caution to avoid any legalities at a guess. My tripod is rated at 8kg which is about twice as much as ever goes on it but I'd be surprised it it collapsed with a few ounces of extra weight on it, not that I'd want to carry it about though.

Have one of the carryspeed fs slim. Really like it and it seems very well built and sturdy.
That said, after my accident with the qstrap, I'm adding a secondary support, just to be certain of no more expensive accidents.
