Carrying Kit With You

I got an event to shoot, I have two cameras one with the 70 - 300 2.8 and one with the 24 - 70 2.8 I want to carry the 50mm 1.4 the event will not have a place to store extra lens, so I will need it on me all the time. What do you guys suggest the best way? Was thinking like a lens bag on my belt, or something..


Any ideas?
 
Lowepro lens case, size 1W will fit it with the hood installed and will stay securely on your belt (or you can buy a harness from Lowepro to attach all kinds of stuff).

I've carried the 70-200L f/2.8 IS II in a lens case on my belt while trekking without any problems, a 50/1.4 will be unnoticeable and quite secure.
 
Well I just realized that you're going to need something that will fit both the 50/1.4 and the lens you're swapping out for it :D

So maybe you need a Lens Case 4S or similar to fit the 24-70 in when using the 50/1.4. It's a huge thing compared to the 1W size though.
 
This looks to be quite appropriate for your application. I saw a video somewhere of how it worked, but can't find it now.

The bag opens up to reveal two lens compartments. You keep your spare lens in one of them, take the lens off the cam, drop it into the other lens compartment in the bag and pick out the spare lens and fit it. Then close the bag up, obviously. Seems to save having to find a surface to lay everything out on while changing lenses.

or if noisy velcro won't be much of a problem, get a newswear pouch and belt, very very good quality. Cheapest place to buy is an ebay store, posting from canada.
