case for the new ipad

any recommendations? ideally a slim line one which covers back and front and has a stand (like the smart cover). only option i've seen so far is the apple smart cover with an incipio feather back cover.

There doesn't seem to be a lot on the market yet other than Apples. I've used my Skinny case from my ipad2 and it seems to fit fine, but it does look like they're doing a version for the 3 too http://www.stmbags.com.au/

I wish Apple would bring out the same style case that they had for the first generation iPad - the black rubbery one that encased the entire device. I bought one the same day as my first iPad, so it always lived in it and when I sold it last week, it was in absolutely perfect condition because it had always been totally protected. The smart covers don't appeal to be me because they don't protect the back of the device - so if I happened to drop it, it wouldn't be nearly as well protected as it should be. But I hate these bulky ones produced by other manufacturers - I want a low profile casing that doesn't add any bulk to the iPad.

Leigh, checkout the the link I posted above, the cases are really skinny and protective of both sides, and have the magnet type closing, however I don't they're in the UK yet.

Oh yeah, that is actually pretty similar to Apple's one. Thanks, I'll look out for one - I know Amazon.co.uk stocks some STM bags so they may well end up getting these eventually.
