A few people were expressing interest in a more interesting case for the GF1 than the standard Panasonic one and I came across this custom made one for the EP-1...

Any thoughts/comments on this style? The company do cases for other cameras, plus other items for the GF1, so I'm sure they're already working on/could be persuaded to make one for it. Pricewise the EP-1 case shown here is US$98, so probably about the same I'd imagine for the GF1.

That's a pretty cool case. I'd certainly be interested if they had one for the GF1.

It looks a bit amateur to me, especially the stitching - $98 is a lot for that imo. I'm also not quite sure I see the point of it to be honest - when the camera's in use, it doesn't look like it would offer much in the way of protection to the bits you'd want to protect if the camera was dropped, and when the camera's not in use...well, same really. I like the colour though!

Jeez that's a bit old hat is it not ,i remember my parents having a cover just like that for an old oly film camera in the late 70s early 80s :)

The stitching does let it down a bit, but compared to the price of a handmade watchstrap it's actually pretty cheap.....

Think the word that you are looking for is, retro

Stitching does look a bit, well lets it down.. don't think it really offers much protection, apart from scratches etc (which can be useful when plonking the camera down etc) I rather like the leather case on my E-P1, and I think the 'look' suites this type of camera. I guess it's similar to wrapping an iPOD in leather.
