Case repair

Just picked up a lovely Rollei for peanuts on ebay, only problem is some damage to the case and a broken strap which I'd like to get fixed, anyone know of anyone (ideally in London) who'd be good at fixing this?

I know plenty of good places that do general repair to leather products but ideally want one that have some familiarity with camera cases and can replace the strap outright rather than just patch it untill it snaps again. Cheers.

If we are talking Rolleiflex, forget the case. It's lovely, but entirely useless, you need to completely remove it everytime after 12 exposures! And if you want a leather strap, probably easier to buy a replacement then to try and fix a 40-50 year old one which has dried out - again, they are very nice, but impractical.

If I was interested in practicality I wouldn't be shooting film in the first place :p

I'd look for a saddlers or specialist leather worker :naughty: - there's nothing unique about a camera case, and someone used to dealing with saddles and tack will have no problem repairing a case and replacing a strap.

Have a look at gordy straps. Will not be the same as the original but are nicely made, customisable and good value. I have one on my film camera and its very nice!

Thanks for the recommend, they look really nice, didn't plan on using a strap on the actual camera but I might just pick one up from them anyway.
