Back in January I discovered this castle and saw the potential of the location during the Autumn months.

So, last weekend I went back. Took the long way up this time but didn't expect it to take over 2 hours (including stops I suppose) to get there.

Sadly the first sight of the castle was a little disappointing, scaffolding and canvas covered the half of it. So I turned my attention to the waterfalls along the 'Burn of Sorrow'.

2. Got wet for this one. Shoes and socks off, jeans rolled up and walked about 300ft in freezing water... :wacky:

3. Something told me it probably wasn't a good idea to try the tarzan swing...

4. I did manage to get one of the castle with the canvas/scaffolding masked off.

Overall it was still worth the trip and at least the weather was nice.

Thanks for looking and any C&C welcome. :)

I enjoy a nice landscape,so last one for me.....although the b&w has some impact

I am so glad number 2 has gone down well. I've never been so cold taking a photo in my life.

There is a better viewpoint showing more of the castle and landscape although the canvas spoilt that.

Totally agree Ian, Dollar is a stunning place to visit.
