Evening one and all,
Well, Edinburgh hosted this years Armed Forces Day. Various events throughout the weekend at several locations including HMS portland in the Leith Docks, Flypasts by the BBMF, Gr4s and a Typhoon and a display by the Reds.
Anyway, unknown to me there was a Royal Navy Lynx due into Holyrood Park on Friday evening which I seen circling just to the south of the city, so a quick turn on the scanner to hear him say he is unable to land so pushing north to Leuchars for fuel. After a quick shower and on the assumption at some point would return before dusk I made my way into the city and ascended up Arthurs Seat to wait!
So, eventually around 18:30 my guess work paid off and the Lynx eventually managed to squeeze in to the clustered park!
