I caught a house gecko last night with a transparent packaging plastic box, and I have my brand spanking new EOS 650D, so I thought, what better way to trial my new body and test the live view magnifying feature to get a sharp macro focus. (Before this, I was using a very old EOS 350D which died a few months ago. )
The plastic was a bit scratched, so you'll see lines in the shot.
(No animal was harmed in this session, the gecko was released outside the house after the shoot.)
Here's the gecko:
100% crop of the eye:
Trying to get a shot of the gecko's stick pads:
100% crop of the sticky pad:
Was hoping to see more details of the sticky pad, but I think I need an electron microscope for any details.
