CF card fault

Hello

I`m not the first and the last with but after the shoot my 8GB Sandisk card from 7dayshop died.

But its not only cant be recognized by any device ... also when you put it in the camera you cant even switch camera on.

Anybody had any similar problems or its just "send back to 7days"

Based on what you've said all you can do is send it back to them really!

E-mail them with the fault etc and ask for a replacement and a return address to send the faulty one, I think they'll then give you a referrence number so they can track it there end - I had a faulty ink cartridge (genuine Canon one) for my Canon printer, e-mailed them and a replacement one arrived about a week later

Might also be worth trying to contact Sandisk directly and see if they can offer any help / support, esp if it's not that old and you have the receipt to hand.

To double check,
1) Your camera will work with other cards ?
2) Can't see any blocked holes in the card / bent pins in the card slot
3) You haven't deleted images and formatted the card via your PC - I have heard this can give problems.

Are there important images on the card? and have you tried a different computer and card reader totally?

Hmmm, interesting. What sort of card is it? I ask because there's a bad batch of 8GB Extreme IV cards been reported in the US, so far all from Adorama - link here. With 7dayshop there's always the possibility that they've got some of the same batch. So I'd check out the link and compare batch numbers.
