CF card Problem

I have a SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro Cf card 90MB/s UDMA6. I've had problems with it re. not formatting and was about to throw it out this morning but tried it in my 5D11 and it worked. However,I bought it for use in my 1D 1V..10fps.


What shows on the LCD is 'Card 1 cannot be accessed' I tried to Format it and another message shows. 'Cannot Format…. change card 1.' Card 2 (which I don't have.) is a back up but an SD card.. Has anyone any idea why this should be ?..Thanks.

I wanted to relay the exact message on the 1D 1V LCD so took the card from the 5D11 and put it into the 1D 1V. I've now just returned it to the 5D11 and it needed re-formatting so the 1D1V did something to it that required it to be re-formatted.
