Hi.
Ive searched both here and on Canons site but cant find the answer.
Canon continuous shooting speeds advertised are qualified by 'depending on memory card brand and capacity'
Can anyone tell me the standard used please. (Canon 7D)

Anything that can transfer 45MB/s and above and you should be ok

I use the Sandisk card however have recently purchased a 90mb/s card. There is a definite gain in image transfer speed from my card reader however, my real question, is there an improvement in camera performance or would that be dependant on a future firmware upgrade?
 
Was using a 15Mb card this afternoon and tried some shots of a moving bus whilst walking back home, managed 18 shots at 8fps before it hiccuped. Forgot to look to see how long it took to clear the buffer, that was fullsize RAWs
