Hey Guys and Girls,

I want some of your advice on cheap hand held videos cameras that are capable of stills as well.

I'm not turning my back on my DSLR - it simply a logical decision. I'll explain...

Basically I have been invited to my Sister's boyfriends stag do in Spain and I thought it would be a nice touch to film some of the events and do him a DVD or something. As it will be a beer fueled trip I am not taking my SLR so I wanted to buy a cheapish (under £100) video camera, so if it broke/got lost I wouldn't be too horrified - obviously I hope it doesn't get destroyed/lost as I want the footage at the end of it all! Quality isn't a high priority - simply because I don't have the cash to be too picky, but like anyone I want to get the best for my money.

So I am asking if anyone has any suggestions. This is one I have been looking at.

Thanks in advance for your help

the flip video or kodak equivalents are pretty good, I'm always amazed at the picture out of them.

I have got an Aiptek which takes 1280x720 video and 8mp stills. It can also be used as a voice recorder. It will fit in a shirt pocket and costs less than £100.

I was literally just about to buy the Toshiba Cameilio S20 until I just found out that the videos won't work on Mac editing software unless the files are converted using separate conversion software to make them Mpeg 4's!

So annoying...

the pocket vid cams are the way to go, there is the flip and the kodak offerings but the king is the samsung u10 its around £120 and the quality is amazing, i also believe it does full HD video recording.
