Cheap eBay Sellers

Hi,

Looking at the Canon 1Dx bodies on eBay there are a number of new bodies on there from HK, USA etc which are a considerable saving on uk store prices - has anyone experience of using any of these and what position would you be in regarding warranty, CPS registration?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Dave

Maybe a word of caution for many of the EBay sellers with the equipment that you mention, if you check in small print many do tell you that customs / vat may be liable. Probably they mean you will pay the tax at least so be wary

If you look on here Digitalrev and Panamoz both have a decent rep and include in the price tax and delivery so it seems

Warranty you will struggle with say Canon etc though items I bought I can register on the web site

Unable to help with cps never been tempted with my skill level

Thanks Allan, very helpful. Some seem to locate their items in the uk and so the delivery I get is from a uk address so I would hope this way they'd be no additional tax to pay. Biggest concern for me is the warranty side and the price difference makes it very tempting!

Don't believe the located in UK part look at the delivery times they are coming from abroad

Warranty if you went DigitalRev or Panamoz include warranties though I only guess if they work

I have used Panamoz and find them reliable spent a fair bit with then via BT but I was worried until the gear arrived
