Hi

Will shortly be getting a 50mm f1.8 and want to know which cheap case I can get for it.

I want one from the UK and not the ones on fleabay from China or HK.

I've a small case just like this Case in an old thread - let me check if a 50mm fits as I brought them for my Nikon TC's & 50mm... Thats if your interested..

EDIT:

Just checked - the one I have is a tad too small even without a filter fitted the lid wont close down...

I got it & ones very similar to (for TC's etc) from ebay - they're about a £7 but they are better than the soft cases that you get...


I have one very similar to this one 90x90 case (ebay) which fits my 50mm & filter quite nicely and stores the rubber lens hood in the top of the lid....

Thank you for checking. Microglobe have the nikon soft pouch for about 10 pounds. Might just have to get that one as it is only a bus ride from work.

Just got one from Microglobe for my 18-135 lens for £6.12, so will use the 35mm one on the 50mm as I will probably be using either the 50 or 35mm most of the time.

I wouldn't worry about a pouch for the 50, just put it in an odd sock you got laying around.
 
Thanks was thinking of doing that but had to get a cheap diffuser for my SB800 so went and bought both.
