Cheap Lens for a D70

HI all,

I am getting back into photography on a shoe string budget. I saved for a D70 and it arrived this morning, came with no lens so I wanted to take some pictures. Be a few weeks or so till I can get a good Nikon Lens...

My question is does anyone know of a cheap lens which I can use even if its a SLR lens?

How cheap is cheap?
You can get a brand new 50 f/1.8 for under £100
 
Did it not come with a kit lens? If not both the 18-55 and the 18-105 cab be picked up for under £100.
 
18-55s can be had for £40 or less sometimes. Just check eBay.
 
Tonnes of old manual lenses on ebay and across used sites. You may have to do some research, but that's part of the fun of buying old lenses. You never know when you'll come across a real gem for a bargain.

I've seen the 18-55 kit lens go for €40 [around £30] on the bay. Do some clever bidding.
