Cheap Lightweight and Compact Travel Tripod Needed

Off to South Africa for 3 weeks. I have the safari sorted but looking for something very light and compact without spending much money to help with city and landscape shots. I was planning on going without but doubting that decision a little. Shooting with a 70D and 18-135 STM. Hiring lenses for hte safari but probably just the basic kit for everything else. Might consider a cheap prime such as 40mm STM for low light.

I have a manfrotto befree which was a good compromise between weight, quality and price. If you want really cheap small and light consider the DIAT carbon fibre offerings on ebay.

I went for a BeFree too but have a look at some older threads as there are several on this exact topic from the last few weeks.

Another recommendation for the Befree, relatively cheap and an excellent tripod.

Ive got a Mefoto Road trip. It's not the smallest and lightest but it's very compact, and one leg can be used as a monopod which is nice.
Pretty cheap as well.
