Cheap Monopod

I need to buy a cheap little present for someone, he has just bought a 400D with kit lens only. It has and will have minimal use, I think its more of a toy than anything and he has barely any time for it anyway! As he won't want filters etc yet and I know he has very shakey hands I thought about a monopod, thing is as it is only a realy cheap present would a Hama 78 do the job ok? The 400D is light as is the kit lens so it wont be too demanding...

will be fine............ i bought a cheap £10 monopod from Norfolk Show, can handle a K-m with a sigma 120-400 on it fine...........
