Cheap ND filter

I bought a cheap ND filter of the bay and altough cheap it is decent enough for B&W photos. I know you only get what you pay for but I wanted to try one of these filters to see if I like them before splashing the cash. However I get a distinct pink tint on the colour balance for colour photos, anyone have any idea how to correct this while shooting in daylight by making adjustments in camera? E.g. any settings for the Kelvin that can be done etc?
I have a Canon 7D.

If you can shoot RAW it could be quite easy to change the WB in post capture processing. Personally I'd rather do that than rely on in camera settings that may or may not work on every scene and in every lighting.

As Alan says you can sort out the white balance in PP but if you want your previews on the LCD screen on your camera to look more like they should you can take a custom white balance.

I don't know about a 7D but on mine you take a reference shot of a neutral colour (ideally a grey card, I use colorchecker passport) in the same light as your shot is going to be, you've got to fill the centre circle of the viewfinder with the neutral colour. Ideally you would use the same exposure as you're going to use but for a quick and dirty preview you could ramp the ISO right up, widen the aperture etc to make it a quicker job.
