My mother enjoys photography and keeps saynig she wants a longer lens, as it's her birthday coming up I was thinking of getting her a second hand 70-300mm as a second gift.
I've seen a couple of Tamron 70-300mm's in the classifieds and wonder if anyone could help point out what fittings I need to look out for to fit a D40, I'm guessing Nikon have the equivalent of EF/EF-S lenses on the Canons.
On the Canon's the Tamron 70-300mm isn't the best lest out there is this the same with Nikon?
Guess I'm looking to spend approx £100 which isn't a great deal. The lens would only get used in good weather as my mother definately falls into the fair weather tog and tends to shoot stuff in the backgarden and out on walks in the country, luckily both on the door step lol...
Any advice greatly appreciated.
