Cheap Reflector

Hi everyone,

I need to buy some reflectors and went to the shop the other day and saw a 3in1, white, silver, gold 40" for £39

I did an ebay search and came accross these

Has anyone got any experience with these? the are about £13-£14 and 5 in 1, are they any good?!

I don't use them for pro work is just every now and then you need some fill.

I've a cheapo 5-in-1 from eBay which is perfectly fine for light amateur use. The main problems I have are that the metal round the rim is thin which makes it awkward to close the reflector down, and that the bags to store them are cheap and nasty. The zip on mine breaks every time meaning storage is a pain as the reflector keeps trying to escape the bag. I was given a proper Lastolite one which is a doddle to use and put away but even so I wouldn't buy it given the price difference.

I bought one from Flash in the pan on here.

Decent quality and recommended (although it's a right chore to get it back into it's bag lol).

His prices are competative and he's a sound bloke. £8.50 for the one I bought.

Get the silver / gold two-sided ones and then plain white one. 5 in 1s are pain to use. 80cm is minimum, larger is better if you can find someone to hold it.
