Cheap Timer remotes

I got one of these Remote

Does what I need it to do, not sure how strong the selection wheel is but it still working so must be ok so far. Did find that it will trip early if bring bumped around by the wind against a tripod. And does seem to go through the battery quicker than expected. But to be honest I have nothing to compare it against to say if this is good or bad. For £25 opened a new horizon for my photography.
 
I got one to try from eBay, it was just under £17 delivered and I wasn't honestly expecting a lot. But it's brilliant! I've used loads, for time lapse, star trails and long exposure stuff, and it's never let me down. I dare say that if I was being paid for photography I'd spend more on a recognised brand for perceived reliability, but as a hobbiest, this does me just fine for very little outlay.

A recent purchase of a Polaroid brand accessory that was utter junk that fell apart (literally) after 2 minutes of trying to get it to work as described, cured me of the belief that 'a recognised brand' means anything.
 
I know, they're probably all made in the same sweat shop factory in the Far East, one goes in a white unbranded box, the other gets a big 'name' printed on it and it 5 times the price.
