Cheapest price for 7D / 17-55 package

Good morning all,

Although I haven't posted I've been here for a fair few years. What a forum. :clap:

I've decided I want to go for a 7D / 17-55 lens. Mainly for taking still automotive pictures / film making. This is a pretty good package right?

The best price I have seen is for £1500 - this price is from Hong Kong, so I imagine with taxes / fees the price will equal if not be more than the below price?

Or here from the UK - £1660 all in

Is there any where else cheaper? :help:

I have no vested interest but you can get a 17-55 from Draiman here in TP Classifieds for £560 used and 7Ds crop up for £800-850. If at all bothered about price you can probably get this set-up used but in mint condition for about £1350-1400. Maybe less if you play hardball ?

Just my 2p worth.

I think I'll just go with the ebay price of £1660 all in. Seems a go price really.

Good luck with your purchase of this killer combination.

Not seeing where you are getting it from on ebay but be warned that although Canon bodies tend to be coverered by their International warranties the lenses are generally not.

You might also have to send the body back to HK or wherever as well if a fault arises ?

Obviously, if from a UK supplier the above does not apply. Just a thought.

If you have a look on DigitalRev.com website they've currently got the same combination for £1,628.83 plus postage, which comes out at £1,665.51. Not a massive saving there but, onestopdigital.com have the same for £1,636.08 and I think they do free posting. Have a look about, cause all those pennies you save now could grow into another lens in time. Have fun with it when you get it!
