cheaply el cheapo welding glass 10 stop!

My cable release arrived in the post today woop woop final part of my superbudget 10stopper setup, £1.20 piece of shade 10 welding glass, £1.79 P-filter adapter and 99p cable release, totalling a whopping £3.98 for the whole setup, went out today to high force waterfall to try it all out, first time using it all (lots of trial and error due to the glass actually cutting about 14 stops of light) easy enough to setup a custom white balance and then lots of standing around while the camera did its stuff lol. Going to put some pics in for critique in a little while so have a peek!

Cant wait to see the results off to the lakes next week and tempted by the glass where did you get it from ? Did the custom white balance fix the colour tint issues welding glass can give?

Yeah mate I just took a picture and then took a white balance reading from the resulting green cast, then as long as you use your custom Wb when using the glass your pics should come put fine, make sire you shoot at a low ISO thoigh as I found out noise is apparent due to the long exposures and not very high optical quality of the glass!

The glass was from amazon, there's a picture in the critique section now too!
