Hi

Is there anyway that I can check the mirror or sensor is aligned correctly on my Sony A200?

Hi Vicky,

From your previous thread I would say there is a high chance that one or the other is out. I would give sony/another repairer a call/visit and get them to assess the problem. I dont think there is any sure fire way of telling without being a service agent.
 
:( Im sorry to see it out of action for you.

My friends who I mentioned before was beyond economical repair. But I would definitely try taking it to your local camera shop to see what they have to say...

Other alternative would be to look for a second hand A200/300 and put yours up for sale on e bay as faulty/for repair and see what you get. I have often been surprised at what people will pay.
 
I'd go with the mirror, the ccd is on an AS bed so would be awkward to put out of place? (Assuming the AS is still working that is...)
 
Its weird, its not doing it anymore, have been taking some perfect photos this evening and have been testing it alot, and seems to work, maybe it was the way I was holding it as someone on the other thread suggested?!

Well I am happy anyway hehe :D
 
My 7D overheated a couple of weeks ago at the village fete... when it had cooled down I had no anti-shake at all and that scared the poo out of me. An hour later all was OK though... maybe it hadn't cooled down quite enough!
