Checking what's using hard drive space?

Earlier today, I downloaded Acronis True Image, before the download I checked the available space on my C drive. I was told by Acronis that the download would only take a little over 500MB on the disk but after the download I can see there is over 9GB less free space.

Is there anyway I can check what has happened? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
