Cheltenham Horse Racing

Went off with my new D60 to Cheltenam for the races yesterday.

Due to the wet weather it was hard to get into the middle of the course unless you were 'Official' but managed to find a way for a couple of races.

Excuse the fact there are seven pictures but its the first time I've done this so I am very interested in areas of improvement for next time

No 1, The winner makes his way back to the unsaddling enclosure - I think this one is a little too dark

No 2, After the same race one of the beaten horses comes back. Can't make my mind up whether the steam from the horse adds or takes away from the picture.

No 3, Again the beaten horses come back. This is my least favourite of the three and I am not sure that the horse appears to have two heads is a good thing!!

No 4, My first attempt at an action shot

No5, An attempt at a panaramic shot as I tried to get a more picturesque background.

Nos 6 & 7 These are concurrent shots as you will see but can't make my mind up which of the two I prefer.

All are untouched by editing software as I don't understand that yet.

Would be grateful for any C&C

nice shots, ist a bit dark but if that was after the last race thats understandable as i was there as well, i prefer 4 and 5 as 6 and 7 a little cropped a little too tight7 also needs straightening a little.

like number 2 as well can see the effort from both horse and jockey. IMHO

Did you know the is also a path around the outside of the course,handy when horses come out onto the course at the first bend, and can be witihn 10 yards of the horses. The path goes all theway around the outside and can get nice shots looking back towards the main stand.
