My very first go at shooting anything sport related. Any advice greatly appreciated. I read a Photoplus article which suggested keeping the sun behind you, but I did find I needed a swifter lens, ideally. Also need to perfect the art of looking through the viewfinder with one eye, and at the play with the other, as it was difficult to follow the ball whilst zoomed in on any given figure. Enjoyed it though, and must have 'looked' the part, as I got asked at least 3 times whether I was from the local paper!

No. 6 looks like he has become acquainted with the Norths usual tactics :wacky:, who won?

#6 tells you all you need to know LOL. nice shots, it looks like you where in the stands for some of the shots was this intentional or did you go down pitch side? well done. Kind regards Graham.

Thanks for the comments.

Maidenhead won 41-13 - good game though, and not as one-sided as it may seem.

I started off standing on a large bank that runs along side one touchline, then came down pitch side for a different viewpoint.

Re #6 - I'm not sure what he expected the female physio to do about it!! :)

I think these are good shots - you've got some good groups here. They're better than the ones in my local paper of local footie matches, which tend to be hilarious because of the arms sprouting out of heads and the like. Not that I've done any sports photos.
