another Cherry Plum Blossom, from my wander with John, I wanted to take some Blossom/bud shots, it took my a while to find the right Blossoms with a good backgrounds that I had imagined I wanted, I think I found what I was looking for, What do you think, C+C Welcome

thats spot on Dave

love the colours, the stamen ( i think thats the correct term!) is a lovely orange

great use of DOF giving it a nice smooth background

what lens was this with ?

Ah the good Sigma 105mm I love this lens- if I had to make one small critique, it would be the blossom is a little too central for my taste, the dof and BG are spot on

I really like this Dave, its simple but classy.
Maybe clone out the dead part LHS of bloom, RHS if your the bloom

Well that is just lovely. I think backgrounds like this can be difficult to handle and end up a bit busy but you have done a great job with the DOF.

I really like that Dave, not a big fan of centrally composed stuff usually but that works a treat, the nice sharp flower in the centre grabs the attention and as the focus falls away all around it it draws you through the picture.

Almost looks as though it's sitting in water with just the top flower peeking through heh
